Dr Nitish Jhawar organized live operative workshop and CME under the aegis of Association of Colon and Rectal Surgeons of India (ACRSI)at Fortis Hiranadani Hopital Vashi, Navi Mumbai on 13th Feb 2010. Stapler piles surgery and STARR procedure for ODS (chronic constipation) was demonstrated live by Senior gastroenterologist and famous laparoscopic surgeon Dr Roy Patankar. Dr Nitish Jhawar demonstrated Doppler Guided Hemorrhoidal artery ligation (DG HAL)for piles. CME attended by eminent colorectal surgeons to discuss latest trends and advancements in the field. FACRSI vice chairman Dr P.N. Joshi, ACRSI president Dr M. G. Nariani, Hon. secretory Dr S. Chivte, tresurer Dr Niranjan agarwal, and past president Dr Parvez Sheikh shared their experiences.
